Focus Areas of RCMR

The quality of Faculty in the Institute is a major differentiating factor which has provided an edge to the Institute amongst the peer institutes in a short time of its existence. Continuous learning and development of faculty is the necessity for their intellectual growth. The Institute encourages the faculty members in their endeavours for self development by way of various incentives. Faculty members devote a considerable time for the research activities.Faculty members produce quality academic research studies/papers which are presented in the conferences, published in reputed research journals or brought out as monographs by the Institute. Joint academic research with the involvement of other faculty/students is also encouraged. Research is now an integral part of job profile of Faculty and is inbuilt into their KPAs.

Another major role of Remsons Management Research Centre is to undertake Industry sponsored Research and Consultancy projects. It requires an active role of Institute Industry Partnership Cell (IIPC) to propagate to the corporates the strength and capabilities of the institute to tackle their issues through scientifically conducted research. The research activities are also showcased in our placement brochures and other communications and interactions with corporates. Some of the summer projects/ capstone projects may be the basis for identifying the issues faced by company/industry for undertaking detailed studies.

Case study method is widely adopted as the pedagogy for teaching and learning. Faculty members are deputed to the different training centres in India to develop skills to conduct and develop case studies. The Institute has an in-house Case Study Centre, under the aegis of RCMR. The Faculty Members are encouraged to write Business Cases and Teaching notes and use those as a part of their teaching pedagogy.

This activity needs to be further geared up to produce quality case studies relevant for management education and training.

The Remsons Centre for Management Research (RCMR) organises Research Seminars on research methodologies, tools, techniques, statistical software packages and the nuances of publication in journals of national and international repute.It also acts as a platform to disseminate research among peer faculty members, exchanging research ideas on contemporary and relevant areas of business and management and creating a research ambience to motivate the faculty members for research publications.

 

AY 2021-22

The Remsons Centre for Management Research conducts Annual International Conference (Remsons International Research Conference) relevant to the current scenario, inviting eminent researchers and participants from industry and academia.

The Institute publishes Bi-Annual ISSN Indexed (Online ISSN: 25816632) Research Journal- The Management Quest.

RCMR conducts Internal FDPs in emerging areas of business and management. Also, to encourage the research, RCMR deputes the faculty members for training to IIMs and other premier institutions, including Online FDPs organized by Higher Education Forum, Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ASSOCHAM and other industry and academic Institutes to undergo training in research methodology and participate in case study workshops.
