OPSESSION is the signature event hosted every year by the Operation and Supply Chain Management Department of Durgadevi Saraf Institute of Management Studies and Durgadevi Saraf Global Business School.
OPSESSION 2021 was the 10th edition of the Operations and Supply Chain Conclave with the theme, ‘’HYPERLOOP: FUTURE OF TRANSPORTATION & CLOUD AND COLLABORATIVE TECHNOLOGIES’’
It was held on 20th March, 2021 through virtual mode- ZOOM.
ABOUT THE PANELISTS AND THEIR VIEWS
● Dr. S.R. Chakravarthy
Professor of Aerospace Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India. Dr. S.R. Chakravarthy talked about Hyperloop, the next big thing in the transport industry. He explained what Hyperloop is and brought out its importance in the 21th century.
● Dr. Guruprasad Rao
Director & Mentor (Leadership Team) at Imaginarium India Pvt Ltd., India’s leading 3D printing company. Dr. Guruprasad Rao addressed the topic of Digitization of Marketing.Dr. Rao also stressed on the importance of Mass Customization as a combination of mass production with cost minimization and customization to provide customers with a unique product.
● Mr. Sudeb Mandal
Founder and CEO of Veersa Technologies – a tech start-up focused on providing solutions using emerging technologies for Small and Medium Enterprises. Mr. Sudeb Mandal addressed the topic of Cloud and Collaborative Technologies and how it is re-shaping the industries and businesses.
● Mr. Sukanta Padhy
Global Chief Information Officer (CIO) for ATC Tires Pvt Ltd (part of Yokohama Rubber Company, Japan).Mr. Sukanta Padhy explained that Collaboration is the process of two or more people, entities or organizations working together to complete a task or achieve a goal. He also talked about some of the components of collaboration platforms like team management, project management, sharing of videos, audios and images, etc.
The event was concluded with Prof. Somesh Banerji thanking all the panelists. Prof. Harshad Sonar recapped the event and extended his sincere thanks to all the people who made this conclave possible and a successful one.
