Financia 2020-21

The Finance Conclave (Financia) for 2021 was held virtually on Mar 6 2021. The theme of this year’s conclave was : Disruption in Indian Businesses & Skill sets required to excel in the evolving world of Finance & commerce .

This past year has been one of the most tumultuous one for Indian industry and commerce. There has been disruption experienced across sectors and industries. This year’s conclave aimed to help us better appreciate the challenges in the post covid world. The conclave attempted at highlighting to the student as well as the academic community the key skill sets that are expected of Finance professionals. This would be key for them to get better integrated into the new normal in their respective areas of work The metamorphoses of some businesses from being able to run in the “lockdown mode” to the new challenges in today’s disruption forth world is insightful as well as challenging.
In the conclave there will be participation from a cross section of Indian organized sector diaspora with the aim of highlighting how their respective business models have evolved. One of the prime objectives of such a forum is to encapsulate the changing environment and opportunities as well as setting new expectations, competition and challenges faced by industries in the country.

Through this conclave our intent was to create a forum for intellectual and practical interaction, collaboration and hopefully partnerships with the industry to make the road map for understanding the new shift paradigm in the investing and financial services world. This was done with a view to better preparing the academic community to be more nimble in responding to newer challenges.

d) Mr Venkatesh Gopalkrishnan – CEO, Shapoorji Pallonji Real Estate
e) Mr Aswni Sahoo – Executive Vice President & Chief Investment Officer – Asset Reconstruction Company (India) Limited (ARCIL)
