Business Leadership Quiz – DSIMS in Association with NHRDN

On 16th of November 2018, the National HRD Network (NHRDN) in association with Durgadevi Saraf Institute of Management Studies (DSIMS) hosted the 7th Business Leadership Quiz, for the Western Regional round. More than twenty teams from various organisations have participated in the event.
The event started with the National Anthem followed by DSIMS Anthem. Lighting of the lamp was done by the invited dignitaries followed by invocation of Goddess Saraswati with Saraswati Vandana . Dr. C Babu, Director, DSIMS welcomed the guests, participants and the audience and addressed the gathering with his inaugural speech. This event was followed by invigorating speech of Dr. Yudhvir Sawhney (Retd), Dy Director IILM and Dr. Neil Sequeira, VP HR & Administration, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.
Mr. Ajay Poonia, the Quiz Master for the event started the quiz, wherein the participating teams appeared for a written round which comprised of 25-30 questions in the regional preliminary round. The questions were related to varied backgrounds, from historic events to current affairs. After the evaluation process six teams were shortlisted for the on stage quizzing round. The six teams were from Godrej(2 teams), BPCL, Tata Steel, Nyara energy Ltd. and Mahindra & Mahindra Each question in the round had varied set of questions and with each round the difficulty level increased, which all together led to a competitive atmosphere among the participants as well as the audience. Three teams were selected for the national final round, to be held at New Delhi. The team from Mahindra & Mahindra was declared as the winner team, securing first position. The first runners up and second runners up position was bagged by the team from Godrej & BPCL respectively. .Announcement of results and prize distribution was done by Mr. Harsha P. Bhoslae Chief People Officer, Nayara energy LTD.
The event was concluded by vote of thanks with culminated into an enthusing and memorable experience, encouraging knowledge to the fellow students.
