The MMS is a two year program, organized around four semesters, spread across the two years. To help bring all students to a common and level playing field, DSIMS offers a two week long Boot Camp that focuses on basics of Finance, Quantitative Techniques, Communication Skills, Use of office productivity tools like Excel, Word and Power Point.
The Boot camp orients the students to the case based learning methodology and the efficient use of internet for secondary data in research.
The course is trifurcated into three categories – A core set of 22 courses, Majors - a set of five to seven subjects in the specialization area and a set of three to four electives within each specialization.
The first two semesters in year one are based on a structured series of 22 core courses. These courses cover key management disciplines, and the business ecosystem. To become a global manager, students can choose a foreign language as a part of their curriculum.
The second year of the program has two components. A core of five to seven courses relevant to each specialization and a set of three to four electives focusing on deep domain expertise.
The Pedagogy is designed to be flexible & wide ranging, incorporating the cutting edge as well as ensuring a firm grasp on core fundamentals.

i. CAP Round Seats:
Admission to seats belonging to CAP round is governed by the Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State. Please refer DTE website for CAP admission process
ii. Institute level seats and Hindi Speaking Minority Community seats
Admission to the Institute level seats and Hindi Speaking Minority Community seats is conducted by the Institute. In addition to the admission test, the institute will conduct Group Discussion and Personal Interview for selecting candidates for admission.
The admission forms for Hindi Speaking Minority Seats and Institute Level Seats are available on our website. Fill in the application form and submit online. Application fee of Rs. 2000.00 should be sent by demand draft drawn in favour of “RS-DSIMS “to the Institute Office along with the down loaded application form before the last date for submission of admission form. Forms received without application processing fee will not be considered for admission.
The Institute will prepare a merit list based on the percentile of marks at the admission test and short list candidates for next stage of selection process i.e. Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Group Discussion and Personal Interview will carry 50 marks each.
Students will be selected for admission on merit based on aggregate marks at written test (Percentile), Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

The candidate should fulfil the following eligibility criteria:
- Should have passed Bachelors Degree examination in any faculty from a UGC recognised University with 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA before the commencement of the programme.
Appeared for the final year examination of any Bachelor’s degree examination in any faculty from a UGC recognised University. Such candidates can be considered for provisional admission subject to passing the degree examination with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA. However such students submits the proof of passing the examination with required percentage on or before September 25, 2015, failing which the admission offered to them will stand cancelled automatically and the fees paid by them will be forfeited.
- Appeared for MHA-CET 2015 conducted by the Director of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Maharashtra or appeared for CAT (Conducted by IIMs, 2014) GMAT (conducted by GMAC USA,)/CMAT (conducted by AICTE September 2014-July 2015))/MAT (Conducted by AIMA September 2014- July 2015)/XAT (Conducted by XLRI 2014/ATMA (Conducted by AIMS September 2014-July 2015)
Total fees per year for the course are as follows:
- Tuition Fee & Development Fee: Rs. 1,65,000.00
- Other Fees Rs. 24,365.00
- Library Deposit (Refundable) Rs. 10,000.00
If offered admission to the MMS program, you will have to secure your seat by paying the interim fees of INR 1,99,365/- for the first academic year 2015-17 and other fee as per the norms of University of Mumbai. "
Please Note: The fee is set by the Shikshan Shulka Samiti, a government body. The fee given above is an interim fee. Any decrease in fee will be refunded to the student. Similarly, the student has to pay the difference in fee if there is any increase.
The Demand Draft/ Pay Order for the fees should be in favor of "Durgadevi Saraf Institute of Management Studies", payable at Mumbai.
In addition, you have to bear an additional expense of a laptop and a foreign immersion, which will be based on actual expenses.
Refund of Fees:
The refund of fees as applicable shall be made in due course. It is made clear that such application for cancellation will be considered if and only if the admission is confirmed by paying he prescribed tuition fee and other fees in full and by submitting the original documents. Refund shall be made after deduction of cancellation charges as shown below:
Cancellation Request Received before cut-off date and if a seat is filled in that course before the cut-off date
Entire Fee less Rs. 1,000/=
Cancellation Request received before cut-off date but ‘a seat’ could not be filled in that course before cut-off date
No Refund (except security deposit)
Estimated Living Expenses:
The campus is located in the western suburb of Mumbai - Malad West. Rent and other living expenses vary considerably depending on your choice.
However, as per the experience of students of DSIMS, you should budget for an estimated Rs. 5000 to Rs. 10,000/- per month as your living expenses.
This does not include any local travel, entertainment or sightseeing trips you may wish to undertake.
